3 Tips for Unforgettable Engagement Pictures
It’s time to announce your engagement to the world, and engagement photos are a great way to do this. The following three tips are great ways to ensure you have a remarkable experience having your engagement pictures taken.
Make Your Location Personal
When choosing the location for your engagement pictures, think of places that really mean something to the two of you. Consider the following:
-
Where you met
-
The location of your first date
-
The place you shared your first kiss
-
Your favorite place to be when you have free time
-
A destination you plan to travel to together- Many engagement and wedding photographers- including myself- are happy to travel when discussed and planned in advance.
From flower fields to fine dining establishments, beaches to your living room or backyard- choose a location that means something to you as a couple.
Schedule a Whole Day
It’s typically best not to rush photography. When planning your portrait day, consider keeping the day free from any other obligations. That gives plenty of time to experiment and get the perfect shots. If you happen to wrap up early, that just gives you extra time to spend together.
Be You- Together
The two of you are unique individual pieces that make up an even more unique whole. There are no other two people in the world just like you, and your engagement pictures should portray that.
Don’t follow the crowd- don’t imitate what you see from everyone else. Show off just who you are by being you in your photography session. You can do this in several ways, one of which is by using themes.
For instance, if you and your fiancé are Harry Potter fans, you can set up a mystical world of wizardry for the background and wear costumes. If you both love baseball, you might consider engagement photos of the two of you at your local field. Not only will it give your loved ones something to smile about, but it will provide fun memories for you to look back on fondly for years to come.
